Marketed products: the IndiSwitch collaboration
Under IndiSwitch collaboration, NovaLead investigates potential of in the market products of the partner across a large therapeutic target space to identify opportunities for new labeling. With such new labeling, the partner can enhance the prescription space for its products, thereby improving the product lifecycle management. Post preclinical validation, such discoveries are passed on to the innovator companies for further development under a structured deal.
 
Shelved compounds: the ReViva collaboration
An estimated US$ 20 billion worth of research is locked in discarded candidates, which have failed to sustain early promise shown. NovaLead helps its partners screen such shelved compounds against a large therapeutic target space to identify their potential in areas other than the originally intended. If a shelved compound shows promise in the in-vitro validation of the indication suggested by NovaLead, partner gets a new candidate to augment their pipeline in significantly lesser time and cost compared to pursuing a completely new idea.
 
New chemical entities: the ChemDiagnostics collaboration
Quite often, subsequently discovered indication generate higher revenue than the original indication for which a drug is brought to the market. By then however, significant patent life is lost compromising the commercial returns.
